Question:

Why should I sign into Library Search?

The yellow message bar keeps appearing reminding me to log in, but I don't know what advantage this will give me.

The benefits of signing in are:

  • availability of resources will be tailored to your library loan privileges
  • requesting options for books and articles will be active
  • additional resources will appear in your search results. Some databases such as Scopus, only allow us to show results to signed in users.
  • My Library section will be active so you can see and manage your loans, requests and saved searches
  • pinned records will be retained until you decide to remove them. This works providing you sign in before the session times out. If you do not sign in, then pinned records are temporary for that session.
