Why isn't the Citeit! browser bookmarklet working?

Try clearing cache, check that your browser settings are not blocking third-party cookies or the website might be blocking Cite it!

If you see the message ‘You have been signed in’ after clicking Cite it! multiple times, try the following steps:

  1. Allow third-party cookies: In the browser address bar, if you see the eye icon with a line through it Screenshot of the eye icon with a line through it, which signals cookies are blocked. then cookies are blocked. Click on the eye icon, then select the Site not working? option and click the Allow cookies button.
  2. Clear cache and cookies: Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete to open the Clear browsing data window in all major browsers. Then select the cache and cookies options.

If Cite it! is not opening when clicked, this means the website is blocks external scripts, like Cite it! from working. In this case, you will have to choose another method for creating the item in your resource list.
