Question:
Can I use voice commands in Library Search?
Voice search assistance allows you to speak your search terms instead of typing them.
Voice assistant is an accessibility feature for those who find typing difficult or impossible. It is also helpful when using small-screen devices.
In the search bar click or select the microphone icon when you want your device to listen for your search terms.
- Voice commands are sent only to the browser. Library Search does not store any voice commands.
- Browser capabilities for the Web Speech API determine how the commands are handled. These may be processed locally in the browser or sent to a 3rd party server.
- Permission must be granted by you for this service to make use of your device's microphone.
