Question:

Why do some resources in Library Search say '7 business days' or '24 hours' for delivery?

When you find a resource in Library Search that we don't have available in the Library or online, you will be able to place a request for it and we'll try to get it for you.

Resources that say '7 business days' or '24 hours' for delivery mean that we know another library has the item and can get it to us in approximately that time frame.

If the resource doesn't provide an estimated delivery time, that means we don't know for certain that we can get the item from another library but we will try.

Approximate delivery times:

  • 7 business days for most books
  • 24 hours for most journal articles and book chapters

Delivery times depend on the availability of the supplying libraries and the accuracy of the details provided.
