What is the public annotations feature?

Enabling public annotations (also known as Student Discussions) on uploaded PDFs allows educators and students to markup the PDF to share comments, questions, feedback and add private notes.

To try out public annotations in your Resource List:

  1. Find the item you want to use public annotations on.
  2. Either upload a PDF (one article or chapter) to the item or tag the item with Scan for E-Reserve. Adding the tag will alert the library to digitise the item.
  3. Once the file is uploaded, click on View PDF:
  4. Check that 'Public Annotations' is enabled and start annotating:
