Question:

What is LibKey Nomad and how do I install it?

Get full text access without starting at Library Search. Yes, even on your personal laptop or computer.

LibKey Nomad is installed for Edge, Chrome and Firefox on all Bond computers.

LibKeyNomad logoLibKey Nomad is a browser extension that enables instant PDF download of articles from scholarly  sites including PubMed and Wikipedia.

Once the LibKey Nomad extension is installed it automatically searches for access from library-subscribed electronic resources and Open Access content from Unpaywall. The Download PDF button will appear next to article citations. If full text isn't available, an Access Options button will appear to place a request for the item. Requests for articles and chapters are usually delivered to your inbox within 24 hours.

LibKey Nomad also supports retraction watch data and will indicate if an article has been retracted.

After installation, open the extension and choose Bond University from the list of institutions to ensure you get access to the full text.

Other features:

  • chat with a librarian
  • customised messaging for Bond students and staff on selected websites
