Some actions may be needed to ensure full functionality in your reference manager after the new system is launched.

Settings and preferences

Refworks

1. Sign in to Refworks as usual

2. Click on the associate institutional credential option in settings

This is a one-time process only. You will be able to access Refworks via OpenAthens institutional login after that.

Endnote (desktop application)

The find full text feature will need the preferences updated.

1. In the desktop app go to Edit > Preferences
2. Select Find Full Text
3. Set the OpenURL Path change it to: https://librarysearch.bond.edu.au/openurl/61BOND_INST/61BOND_INST:BOND?
4. Ensure the Authenticate with field is empty

Zotero

1. Once you have installed your Zotero extension from https://www.zotero.org right click the extension icon and choose Extension options
2. Go to the proxies section and replace any default scheme with the following code: https://go.openathens.net/redirector/bond.edu.au?url=https://%h%a/%p
3. Select Disable proxy redirection when my domain name contains* and insert bond. This will help prevent complications when using Library systems which are already using OpenAthens redirection.
4. Clear both Automatically associate new hosts and Automatically convert hyphens to dots... or it will not work.

For best results, sign in to OpenAthens first.

Links in citations

If you have links in citations (references) that use EZproxy, they will need to be updated to use OpenAthens instead.
